Tania King Photography: About Me
As a small child, and growing up in the suburbs of Adelaide, Sth Australia, I can always remember having a camera in my hand. It was more of a hobby then, taking snapshots of people & the occasional water skiing action from many weekend camping trips on the Murray River.
It was much later, the passion came, after many adventures travelling the world, seeing the diversity of land and cultures in other countries, and later exploring the East Coast of Oz, by road in a mobile home.
Since settling in Port Douglas, North Qld, in 1994, and taking a more relaxed lifestyle approach, I decided to take my photography to a professional level. I studied several courses, started a camera club & worked as a weekend photographer for the local newspaper which led me to a weekend stall at the local markets, selling my images and gaining commissioned work shooting weddings and portraits. Other sales include: brochure work and stock image use.
I enjoy being involved with postal folios, through the Aust. Photographic Society and taking Stock photos for 'Oz Images' stock agency who are based in Cairns. My favourite images to shoot, would be children, still-life and night photography, I 'm also a sucker for a great sunrise or sunset.
I now share my own home in Port Douglas with my wonderful husband, Dave and my two beautiful children, Taylah and Jack.
